The summit, “How to Build a Culture of Success at Your Company: What’s on the Inside Matters,” is scheduled for Thursday, April 6, at the offices of Dekker/Perich/Sabatini, 7601 Jefferson St. NE, No. 100, in Albuquerque. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and the program begins promptly at 8 a.m.

Join local business leaders for breakfast and a panel discussion, and learn how to create and sustain a positive work environment, reduce turnover, enhance morale and maintain productivity through times of growth, challenge and change.

Seating is limited. RSVP to Shawn Perry-Turner at spturner@bernco.gov.

This free Breakfast Business Summit is sponsored by Commissioner Lonnie Talbert and coordinated by Bernalillo County’s Economic Development Department. Bernalillo County offers small business support and educational seminars throughout the year as part of its mission to help local firms thrive and succeed.

“A positive work environment and supportive culture is a win for the company, employees and the community overall,” Commissioner Lonnie Talbert says. “Companies and organizations with a true culture of success are the ones that last the longest and contribute the most to Bernalillo County’s quality of life.”

Guest speakers include Dale Dekker of Dekker/Perich/Sabatini; Katie Snapp of Skirt Strategies; and Duffy Swan of French Funerals and Cremations.

The panelists will tackle everything from productivity, turnover, benefits and company longevity to opportunities for people to advance their careers by being loyal to their organization.

Seating is limited. Please RSVP to Shawn Perry-Turner at (505) 468-7817 or spturner@bernco.gov.

    • Bernalillo County will be hosting a public meeting to share the results of the recently completed Unser Boulevard sound study conducted between Paradise and Irving Boulevards. The purpose of the sound study was to determine if noise walls are needed to diminish the traffic noise levels along that stretch of the Unser corridor. Those residents whose properties are adjacent to the proposed noise walls will have to vote in favor of a wall before it can be built. At the meeting, the results of the sound study will be discussed, as well as the potential positive and negative impact of building a wall.
